CREW NJ will be collecting menstrual items and accepting monetary donations via the below QR code on behalf of TPCS at our September 17th event!

Turning Point Community Services (TPCS) helps women and their families (from Essex, Hudson, and Union Counties) overcome the obstacles of homelessness and abuse. Serving as the only family shelter in Irvington, TPCS has provided shelter services to the homeless population for over two decades. Our emergency shelter facility, Servant’s House, can house up to 70 individuals at any given time (approx. 24 families, depending on family composition). The structure of our facility ensures a family’s ability to have an independent and private living space, which reduces the personal stigma and trauma of being in an open or congregate shelter environment. Families have access to living rooms, kitchens, and an on-site laundry room and food pantry.

Now try to imagine having to choose between buying food or buying basic hygiene products - it's a terrible position no one should be in, yet this is the reality for far too many homeless women. Access to period products is a critical need that is often overlooked, leaving those experiencing homelessness to suffer in silence and stigma.

That's why TPCS has launched a special drive to collect tampons, pads, and other essential menstrual items for women and girls in our emergency shelter and those still participating in our Continued Support Program.

Your donation can make an immediate and meaningful difference in restoring their dignity and health. This simple act of generosity can alleviate a major source of stress and discomfort for those already facing immense challenges. It's an easy way to have a tangible impact and make life a little easier for those in need.

Please consider donating today. Together, we can ensure that all women and girls have access to the period products they need to manage their health with comfort and confidence. Your generosity will be deeply appreciated by those who need it most. Please click here to learn more about TPCS and to donate.

The below QR code can be used to make a monetary contribution directly to TPCS. Thank you for being part of the solution.
