Please join us at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey to volunteer with your CREW NJ colleagues. This philanthropic event will take place on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 8:45 AM to 11:45 AM. Space is limited and requires an RSVP. 

All volunteers are required to create their own VolunteerHub account and schedule your shift. We will not be able to register CREW NJ’s volunteers – all volunteers will need their own custom log-in. Please CLICK HERE to create a VolunteerHub username and password, using an email address as the username. After creating your account, you’ll sign-in and register yourself for the shift

During the online registration, you’ll be asked to sign the FoodBank’s waivers. Each volunteer that registers will receive a confirmation email as well as a reminder email three (3) days prior to your shift. Please note: all volunteers must be confirmed 24 hours prior to the start of CREW NJ’s shift on 8/16. After this 24-hour deadline, you will NOT be able to register for the event.

Parking:  Please follow the signs to the volunteer parking lot.

Project Description:  Volunteers will repack, seal, label, and box bulk food products (pasta, rice, or cereal) into family-sized servings. Hairnets and gloves will be provided to all volunteers.

Dress Code Requirements:  Closed toe shoes, sneakers, jeans, t-shirts, sweatshirts.

Prohibited items:  Clothing with any writing that can be considered derogatory, insulting or otherwise disrespectful to any members of the Community FoodBank’s diverse workforce. Extremely loose-fitting clothing or dangling jewelry – no sequins or beads on clothing. Purses, bags, and backpacks should be left at home or locked in your car trunk. The use of headphones is prohibited in the work areas. No eating, drinking, running, or smoking is allowed.

Items needed most:  Tuna, salmon, Spam, chicken, ham, shelf stable milk, pasta, potatoes, rice, cereal, mac-n-cheese, chili, stews, meaty soups, peanut butter, and canned fruit. No glass, cellophane, bottled water, soda, or baby food, please.

All volunteers MUST wear a volunteer badge, which will be provided at the beginning of your shift.
