The BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha is a spiritual fellowship driven by volunteer efforts, dedicated to uplifting society through personal growth and the promotion of Hindu values such as faith, service, and global harmony. The temple, constructed between 2011 and 2023, stands as a testament to traditional Hindu architectural principles, sustainable practices, and materials sourced from around the world, brought to life by the dedication of over 12,000 volunteers from across the United States.
CREW NJ's scheduled guided tour will take place on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 5:30 p.m.
Attendees are asked to arrive 15 minutes early, with an additional 15 minutes allocated for parking and reaching the Welcome Center where everyone will gather.
The tour, lasting approximately 75 to 90 minutes, will include the Welcome Centre, an Orientation video, the Courtyard, and the Akshardham Temple.
BAPS suggests allowing an additional 45 minutes for personal exploration, with the site closing at 7:30 p.m.
A dress code is in place for the visit: sleeveless shirts and skirts above the knee are not permitted, and footwear must be removed before entering the Mahamandir.
